The Asian Shooting Championship ended with great success for some of the continent's best athletes, particularly from China and India.
Aishwary Tomar from India came out on top in the men's 50m rifle 3 positions final, pipping Zhao Wenyu from China to the gold with a score of 462.5 to 462.0. Naoya Okada of Japan claimed the bronze medal. China would take the team title ahead of India and Republic of Korea.
Sift Kaur Samra added another 50m rifle 3 positions gold to India's collection as she held off Yang Yujie from China for the title. She finished with a total of 459.2 to 458.8 of Yang's. The Chinese athlete had enough to stay ahead of Japan's Misaki Nobata for the silver medal. India took the team title, with Japan and Republic of Korea claiming the silver and bronze medals.
More gold came for India thanks to Elavenil Valarivan and Arjun Babuta in the mixed team 10m air rifle final, beating China's Peng Xinlu and Lu Dingke 17-11 in the final. Koreans Kwon Eun-ji and Park Ha-jun and Japan's Hinata Taichi and Naoki Hanakawa claimed the bronze medals respectively.
While India excelled in rifle, China excelled in pistol. Su Lianbofan set a new junior world record in the men's 25m rapid fire pistol final after missing just four targets, to take the gold. His total of 36 was just enough to defeat India's Anish, who finished with 35. Lee Jaek-yoon of the Republic of Korea won the bronze. The Koreans would win team gold ahead of India and China.

Zhang Yueyue defeated her compatriot Xiao Jiaruixuan in a shoot-off for the women's 25m pistol title.
